Well trained and equipped with the latest technology our offices provide the best blend of professionals and equipment to make your treatment comfortable and quick.

You may at anytime ask our staff any questions you might have concerning your treatment as many of us have had orthodontic treatment ourselves and can therefore identify with any concerns you may have along the way.

 

Meet:

 

Bernadette Darby

“Bernie” wears two hats. She is the diagnostic records technician for the office and is also an orthodontic assistant.

She is the person who takes the x-rays and photos and impressions of your teeth and mouth.

She joined the family in 1996 and the best part of the job for her is making patients feel comfortable. Bernie’s hobbies are swimming and listening to music.

 

 

 

 

Beverley Johnson

Beverley Johnson is the sterilization assistant and she could be considered one of the founding members of the team since she joined way back in 1987.

She describes her job as “keeping everybody clean and happy” and we know how important it is for everything to be well-cared and sterile in a doctor’s office.

Beverley enjoys window shopping at various stores in her spare time.

 

 

 

 

Collette Hibbert

Collette joined the team in 1999 as an orthodontic assistant.

She really enjoys the interaction with the patients she meets on the job. Collette is a real sports fan and loves watching football and athletics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Franklin Henry

Franklin Henry has been a lab technician on the team since 1990. He really enjoys making appliances and takes pride in getting his work done on time, every time! In his spare time, ”Prince” likes playing football and dancing. He’s also a keen horse-racing fan; in fact he is a horse owner and breeder.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keisha Parkes

Keisha has been working as one of our orthodontic assistants since October 1999. She is your orthodontist’s “right-hand”, on spot to help the Doctors attend to you, our patients, as efficiently as possible.

 

For Keisha, the best thing about working in the offices of Drs. Meeks and Allen is the spirit of fun and cooperation among her co-workers, and the new people she meets. Keisha lists her interests as cooking, listening to music, reading, singing and travelling.

 

 

 

Kemar Dressikie

Kemar our youngest lab technician joined the team in 2007. He takes pleasure in his work and enjoys pouring impressions and fabricating models of the teeth.

 

In his spare time he loves playing football, listening to music and surfing the internet.

 

 

 

 

Kevin McKay

Kevin McKay is an orthodontic assistant. He has been a member of the family since 1994.

He is glad to have the opportunity to share in the satisfaction of patients when the treatment is complete and successful.

 

 

 

 

 

Margaret Brown

Margaret fulfills three roles; Clinic assistant, Treatment Co-ordinator and Inventory Personnel. Margaret has been a member of the Islandsmiles team since 1994 and has thoroughly been enjoying every aspect of her job.

Her favourite part is the daily interaction with patients, whether she’s assisting the Doctors with fitting braces, adjusting them, removing them, giving information to patients or just casually chatting about everyday life with them.

She considers herself to be a fun-loving person who likes to have a great time during her vacation and her favourite person in the whole wide world is her niece, Treasure… “SHE MAKES HER DAY EVERY TIME”.

 

 

Micheline Eulette

Micheline Eulette is primarily responsible for the overall management of the office, and the promotion of the practice. She enjoys interacting with people, organizing events and loves to travel.

For relaxation, Micheline likes reading, going to the movies and dancing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Orthel Faulknor

Orthel Grapine-Faulknor is one of our longest serving team members having come on board in 1990. As a treatment coordinator she is one of the first people you meet at your initial visit to our office. She’ll guide you through your orthodontic visit by sharing valuable information and providing outstanding care, making you comfortable about all aspects of your visit.

“Grap” as she is affectionately called, loves being able to interact with all patients and greets each patient with a warm smile.

She has been married for 11 years to Fitzgerald and has two fun loving energetic kids. In her spare time “Grap” can be found lyming on the social networks, football sessions (juniors of course), reading, baking and having fun with her family.

 

 

Ron Whyte

Ron Whyte, our financial coordinator joined us in January 2000.
Handling anything to do with receivables and payables is Ron’s portfolio, but he likes interacting with patients and staff, as well as external suppliers.
He lists his hobbies as reading and going to the movies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sandra Stephenson

Sandra has been part of the Islandsmiles family since May 2001 and her smile is one that greets you at the front desk of our office.

Sandra’s job is just perfect for her because that’s what she most enjoys – interacting with the patients and making sure everyone is comfortable.

In her spare time, Sandra likes to read motivational books and loves listening to Gospel music. She likes to travel and hopes to take a tour of all the Caribbean Islands one day. Soon after her arrival, she earned the nickname “Dainty” and once you get to know her you’ll see why. Sandra has been married for almost seven (7) years to her wonderful husband Chris, and they have a beautiful girl, Joanna.

 

 

Shanine Swaby

Shanine Swaby has been an orthodontic assistant on the team since 1995.

She likes working with all the patients but children are definitely her favourite people. When her working day is finished, Shanine likes to relax by reading or listening to music.

 

 

 

 

 

Sheryl Ebanks-Reid

Our office co-ordinator is Sheryl Ebanks-Reid and her history with us dates way back to 1987. Sheryl attends to patients coming in for their first visit and tells them everything they need to know before they get started on their programme.

She loves interacting with the patients from the first meeting to the day she sees that smile on their face when the braces come off. Sheryl enjoys cooking and baking and loves travelling to new places.

 

 

 

 

Shirone Ben-Mohammed

Whatever office correspondence or patient information we might need to access, Shirone Ben-Mohammed can put her hand on it. She has held the post of scheduling co-ordinator since 1994.

It’s the perfect job for Shirone because she likes getting her co-workers organized to start their working day. Shirone , a.k.a. Huss, Ben-Moh, or Roney, likes reading, watching Hallmark Channel movies and spending quality time with her family.

Shirone has been happily married for more than 12years to her loving husband Khalid and they have 2 beautiful daughters; Zahrah and Zavia.

 

 

 

Tanya Webster

Tanya Webster is an orthodontic assistant. She has been with us since 1992 and what she loves about her job is to witness the transformation of the patients as their treatment progresses.

“Webby” really feels great when patients comment on the high level of service they receive. She loves travelling out to the country and one of her favourite hobbies is taking photos of her children.

 

 

 

 

 

Valery Smith 

We rely on Valery Smith to keep the office spic and span and in perfect order. She has been our office assistant since 1998. “Val-Val”, as she is affectionately called, says she just loves everything about her job.

When she is not busy looking after us, Val-Val enjoys gardening, cooking and baking and also loves decorating.

She has a very willing heart and is ready to assist everyone. When called, you will hear her say …“no problem, anytime you are ready”.

 

 

 

 

Veron Mitchell

“Mitchie” is one of our lab technicians and he has been with us since December 1992. After the impressions of your teeth are taken, Mitchie is the one who fabricates the study models of those impressions.

When “Mitchie” is not busy doing that, he enjoys sightseeing and playing cricket.
