At your first visit, we will be evaluating the need for and proper timing of your orthodontic treatment. Every orthodontic case is different and the doctor will want to look at your teeth, gums and face before determining the very best treatment plan for you.
In addition, we will take diagnostic records of your face and teeth which will include:
- 3D digital scan of the teeth
- Digital x-rays of head and teeth - to give an even more detailed view and help identify hidden issues
- Photographs of the mouth and face - so as to have a visual indication of what the teeth and gums look like at the start of treatment
With these we are able to have a full understanding of the issues related to your particular case and we can finalize the plan for your treatment.
These will allow us to discuss:
- Method of treatment - such as Traditional Braces, Ceramic Braces or Invisalign
- Length of treatment
- The costs involved
- Financial arrangements available
At your first visit, we ask that you provide us with the following information:
- Any prior dental x-rays (if available)
- A list of medications you are currently taking
- A Completed Patient Information Form
This first visit is where you get to know us, and where we get to know you!
In many cases we can start treatment immediately, or set up the necessary appointments to start your treatment at your convenience.
