Shanine has been part of our team since 1995. She enjoys working with all the patients, but children are definitely her favourites. When her work day is finished, Shanine likes to relax by reading or listening to music.

Tanya has been an orthodontic assistant on our team since 1992. ‘Webby’, as she’s affectionately known around the office, loves witnessing the transformation of patients as their treatment progresses. She is an active church member and a dedicated volunteer for the Jamaica Cancer Society.

Novia has been a part of our team since 2011. She encapsulates the saying, ‘likkle but tallawah’. “I love the people I work with across the company. I work with some awesome, talented, funny, dedicated staff. Every day is different, challenging and exciting,” she says. When the work day is over, Novia enjoys the comfort of home, where she loves spending time with her son Meeli. 

Keisha has been working as one of our orthodontic assistants since 1999. For Keisha, the best thing about her job is the spirit of fun and cooperation amongst the team, and the new people she gets to meet daily. In her spare time, Keisha enjoys cooking, listening to music, reading, singing and traveling.

Collette joined our team in 1999 as an orthodontic assistant. She really enjoys the interaction with the patients she meets on the job. Collette is a real sports fan and loves watching football and athletics.

Orthel Grapine-Faulknor is one of our longest serving team members having come on board in 1990, just 3 years after we first opened our doors in 1987. As a treatment coordinator, she is one of the first people you meet on your orthodontic journey. ‘Grap’, as she is affectionately known around the office, loves being able to interact with all patients and greets each patient with a warm smile. In her spare time she can be found spending time on social media, taking part in football matches, reading, baking and having fun with her family.

Margaret has been a member of the Islandsmiles team since 1994, fulfilling three roles: Clinic Assistant, Treatment Coordinator and Inventory Personnel. Her favourite part of her job is the daily interaction with patients, whether she’s assisting the Doctors with fitting braces, giving information to patients or just casually chatting about everyday life with them. She is a fun-loving person who loves spending time with her family. 

Tamoy is an enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, responsible and hard working person. She joined the Islandsmiles Montego Bay team in 2013. The highlights of being an Orthodontic Assistant for Tamoy are being on the journey with the patients and seeing their confidence grow as they experience the different stages of their smile. When Tamoy is not working, she enjoys a good book. She loves gardening or just being outdoors and visiting new places. Spending time with her friends and family is also a favourite pastime as well.

Beverley is one of Islandsmiles founding members, having been a part of the team since we opened our doors in 1987. She describes her job as “keeping everybody clean and happy”, and we know how important it is for everything to be well-cared and sterile in a doctor’s office! 

Ashley’s love for her job stems from her passion for helping others using her knowledge and skill set. She’s most enthusiastic about seeing her patients finally get their dream smile. While that may be one thing that brings joy to her heart, in her spare time you may likely find her relaxed on a beach or spending time with her family and friends.

What Dajour loves most about the job is interacting with and providing wonderful service to his patients. When Dajour is not working he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and friends, exploring vegan food or just catching up on sleep after a long week.

Being the shortest one in the office, Suen prides herself on being vertically efficient with her awesomeness. Suen’s favourite part of the job is interacting with patients, especially when they have just gotten their braces, and enjoying the adventure that each day brings. When she’s not working, Suen can be found listening to music or cooking.

Stacey’s favourite part of the job is the end result when she gets to see a happy patient with a brand new grin! She enjoys learning from her co-workers and challenging each day as it challenges her. Stacey-Ann enjoys social outings and listening to music in her spare time.

Self-motivated, reliable, hardworking and creative are some of the words that can be used to describe Shamoy. She has been curating beautiful smiles with the Islandsmiles Montego Bay family since June 2021 and is one of our many well-liked Orthodontic Assistants. What she loves mainly about her job is being able to share in this transformational journey with our patients, and never missing an opportunity to educate them along the way. Whenever Shamoy is not helping to improve smiles, she can be found experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, tending to her vegetable garden or visiting new places with her family.

Shana believes that cleanliness is next to Godliness so she ensures that the office and all the instruments are clean and sanitized so that patients and staff can enjoy a safe environment. Her helpful hands are always willing and ready to assist. Shana enjoys surfing the internet and quality time with family, like taking trips to the beach.

Melanie joined the Islandsmiles team in 2021 as a Treatment Coordinator. What she loves most about the job is meeting and interacting with new people. When Melanie is not working she is spending time with family and friends, watching documentaries, traveling and planning and executing excursions and events.
